The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 2004 with an aim to provide application based quality education to students. The Department places heavy emphasis on the laboratory component in the teaching curriculum and innovative research projects. Students are exposed to real industry situations through industrial visits and trainings. Regular activities are organized to enhance the morale of students. The Department has highly qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty with average teaching experience of more than 5-10 years. Our pedagogy focuses on application based teaching with demos, models, videos, etc. The Departmental laboratories includes Mechanics of Solids, Material Science, Fluid Mechanics and Machines, IC Engine Lab etc. The Department also provides workshops for hand skills - foundry, fitting, welding, sheet metal, pattern, advance welding, heating & cooling systems, transport system, watercraft, robotics, medical devices and more.
