Approvals & Affiliations

All the institutes need to have the necessary statutory and regulatory approval. SVGOI has also got the approval and affiliations for various courses running under its umbrella. The institutes are approved from govt. bodies like All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), NCTE, and Government of Punjab. 

All the Academic programmers are affiliated to various universities like – I. K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU); Maharaja Ranjit Sing Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU); Punjabi University (PU), Patiala & Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training (PSBTE & IT), Chandigarh, Punjab.

MHRD 

Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) is the governing body of the Indian Government who gave affiliation to a different statutory body which established the rules and regulation of the Indian education system such as UGC, AICTE, NCTE, and PCI. University Grant Commission (UGC) gave affiliation to the universities of India to charge with coordination, determination, and maintenance of standards of higher education. All courses under the SVGOI are affiliated with MHRD and UGC. 

AICTE

Technical education plays an important role in the overall development of a nation. In SVGOI, Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology (SVIET) is affiliated with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) a national level Apex advisory body. Four years B. Tech (CE, EE, ME, CSE, ECE); two years MCA, MBA, and M.Tech (ECE, CSE, ME) programs are affiliated by AICTE under SVGOI.  

PCI

The two years Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm); four years Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) and two years Diploma of Pharmacy (D. Pharm) programs are approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy (SVCP), SVGOI. PCI is a statutory body of the Government of India established for pharmacy education and regulation of Profession and Practice of Pharmacy across the country. 

NCTE

Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.Ed.) are teacher education programs that run under the umbrella of SVGOI at Swami Vivekanand College of Education (SVCE) which is duly recognized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). NCTE a statutory body of the Government of India established to maintain standards, procedures, and processes in the Indian teacher education system. 

IKGPTU

I K Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), formerly Punjab Technical University (PTU), is a state university at Jalandhar, Punjab, India established by the Government of Punjab. Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology (SVIET), Swami Vivekanand Faculty of Tech. & Management (SVFTM) and Swami Vivekanand College of Pharmacy (SVCP) were affiliated with IKGPTU. 

MRSPTU

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda, Punjab is an affiliating Technical University, established by Govt. of Punjab. Swami Vivekanand College of Management & Technology (SVCMT) & Swami Vivekanand Paramedical College (SVPC) were affiliated with MRSPTU. 

PU 

Punjabi University (PU), Patiala is a state university established and affiliated by the Govt. of Punjab. Swami Vivekanand College of Education (SVCE), B.Sc. (Non-Medical) & B.A. college and programs are affiliated to PU. 

PSBTE&IT 

Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training (PSBTE & IT), Chandigarh, Punjab is an advisory body for technical education institutions in the Punjab region of India. Swami Vivekanand Polytechnic College is an affiliated college from PSBTE & IT.
