Program Overview

M.Sc. (Master of Science) Mathematics is a postgraduate course in Mathematics. The course has a duration of 2-years which is divided into 4 semesters. The main aim of the course is to provide in-depth knowledge to the students in advanced applied mathematics and prepare them for various research activities.

MISSION

1. To provide a strong foundation to the students through basic courses and value-adding teaching in areas of the technical field, innovation, personality development & competitive abilities, and guide for their respective discipline.
2. To provide students with a flexible yet solid learning infrastructure through proactive and adaptive service systems.
3. To create and propagate knowledge and tools at the interfaces between areas of engineering, emerging trends of industries, and other core areas of Applied Sciences and Humanities.

SCOPE 

M.Sc Mathematics graduates have pretty good job profiles in both government and private sectors. Some of these job profiles in both government and private sectors are Junior Associate Professor, Online Tutor, Junior Research Scientist, Mathematician, Market Researcher, Economist, Actuary, Cost Estimator, Economist, Professor, Lecturer, Senior Manager, Research Associate.

Eligibility

Completed B.Sc(maths)with 50% marks and having the relevant subject as one of the subjects based on merit in qualifying exams.
